out.pdf output of img2pdf from 2 given JPEG image files:

Adobe Acrobat Pro render
img2pdf-render-adobe-211220.jpg

Skim render
img2pdf-render-skim-211220.jpg

Is there an adjustment I can make?

Thank you for developing and optimizing img2pdf. You are welcome.

Hi, thank you for your bug report. This is very interesting. I downloaded out.pdf and cannot reproduce the issue with evince nor with mupdf. I also cannot see the problem with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (see the attached screenshot). I can also not see anything strange in the PDF or with the example JPEG images you post.

Unfortunately, I don't own MacOS so I cannot directly reproduce your issue. Maybe somebody else is able to confirm it?

I cannot reproduce the issue and no further input has been made by the original submitter for nine months. Hence, closing this.
