[Feature Req] Add image name to page #141

Hi,

It would be nice if we could add the image name on each page. I think the filename should do.

And I know that "sounds easy" is not equivalent to "is easy" :). In this case, some decisions need to be take as to how to manage borders / borderless when the title is present.

I think the least complex solution would be to add the height of the title box to that of the image, keeping the two one below the other. And then consider that as the image box on which border and pagesize are calculated.

What do you think about including this as an option?

Thanks !

And then you need:

  • selecting which font
  • selecting align (left, center, right)
  • selecting font size
  • selecting margin
  • selecting padding
  • selecting font color
  • selecting decorations like underline, italics
  • selecting where to put it (top, bottom, left, right)
  • selecting the rotation when putting it on the left or right

img2pdf is not a layouting tool. If you want a layout, you should choose a program that is good at doing layouts. This is similar to #63 and #28.

hah, true !

I thought it would be "just a small addition", with a lot of defaults, serving only the purpose of keeping track which image is which. Similar to how Firefox's "Print to PDF" would include the page you're on in the page's header.

But I agree with what you said in #28:

Then the next one comes along and wants to position or format the text.

This is like opening a can of worms. Let's leave it aside, unless some more people would like it and would agree to have just the bare minimum.

Thanks for the quick input !
