Apologies if this is really obvious, but I didn't see even in the documentation an obvious answer for whether this format is supported.

I've been getting some really good results for compressing book pages down with this, going one better than other compression methods I've tried, and was wondering if you could extend support.

As a total noob I'd have no idea if there's issues with .pdfs and JPEG XL, though.

EDIT: from what I can tell jxl not included in PDF specification, will be in next five years(?), some readers can support it with a plugin. I would still be happy with something like that, or similar, for the time being.
