Please change the checkbox for "Print cutting guides" into a radio button with the following four options:

  • "No cutting guides"
  • "Print cutting guides"
  • "Cuttings guides right and bottom"
  • "Cutting guides left and top"

Implementing this results in offering only cutting guides that are actually cut when combining the papers via an overlap. This will not show cutting guides on the edge where no cutting takes place.

You are right: printing the cutting guides on all four borders is not necessary. The reason they are printed on all four borders anyways is, that for the posters that I've been glueing together so far, I decided for each sheet of paper individually where I want to cut it, depending on its content. Some borders are easier to go top and some are easier to go on the bottom, depending what they do content they contain.

But I can see that this might just be something that I do and others would like to do it differently.

I have a followup question: Why only offer cutting guides right-bottom and left-top? Why not also left-bottom and right-top? Why offer those two and not only one of them? Why not all four?

I limited the requirest to two as these are the most likely I'd use, but offering all four combinations is even better.
